Same here with Gutsy upgraded from Feisty. I really need it, too. However downloading the deb package manually and installing it with dpkg --force-conflicts -i works fine. In bug #127009 it is said that the new gimp package is incompatible with this package but at least all my scripts work

As I really need this package, I now apt-get --build sourced it and installed it using dpkg --force-conflicts -i. It worked just fine. So maybe it just needs to be rebuilt and assigned a new version number? Maybe it even works as is, I haven't tried using the binary package with GIMP 2.4. --
