Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
When compizconfig-settings-manager isn't installed, the "preferences" button is missing. This makes the "Custom" option useless. If the settings manager package isn't installed, it should be suggested according to one of the following approaches: 1) Have the preferences button visible at all times, and offer to install the package when it's clicked. 2) Keep the button invisible, and offer to install when the "Custom" option is chosen. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- preferences button in visual effects tab should always be visible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149172 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
