Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I have a wired LAN connection on my Gutsy test machine.

If I leave /etc/network/interfaces in the default state, with the eth0
line commented out, letting NM manage the connection, I get an IP and
DNS's from the router, I can ping the router but nothing else on my
network and can't access the internet.

If I uncomment the eth0 line, preventing NM from managing eth0,
everything works properly.

I am unsure what further information will help.
