Did you try version 0.4.2? It comes with the automatic SQLite upgrade
function (originally from Debian).
In Ubuntu, the sqlite migration issue should be rectified since
0.4.1-4ubuntu*, provided you have the s
same on freebsd:
$ f-spot

Starting new FSpot server

I have the same problem, no fullscreen in f-spot with compiz enabled.
I found this on the command line when trying to close the "fullscreen":
(f-spot:8316): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: GdkPixbufLoader finalized without
calling gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() - this is not allowed. You must

Ok, It's compiz. It works, it's a bit dodgy, but it does. So not really a bug,
but a need to visit f-spot and compiz forums.
Actually, I quite like it. :)

You received this bug notification because you are a member
Auch! It's compiz the culprit. Or maybe some plug-in. On the new user,
clean Ubuntu conf, f-spot works wonderfully even with compiz normal-
basic.
Same setup here (old user) and I have problems. However disabling compiz
solves it.

Update:
I've backed up the old f-spot dir in .gnome2 and started f-spot again as
Cpt-Falcon said and I have the same as him. Apparently no full screen or
slideshow., but looking better, they actually seem to happen in a
transparent small window on the left side. There's even on option to
close the
This looks similar to what I have.
Starting from the menu, F-Spot hangs and cpu runs full.
The second time I started it I Got the following error while a dulled f-spot
window shows:
È stata lanciata un'eccezione non gestita:

Because I didn't want to switch account to use F-Spot (even if there is
a new "fast switch user"), I have removed the "conf folder" of F-Spot in
~/.gnome2/f-spot
Now F-Spot starts... but slideshow and fullscreen doesn't work ! Need to
write a new bug report ?

I don't have imported photos, it was a fresh install.
By running f-spot as a new user you mean : create a new user account and log
into it then launch F-Spot ? I think it will be the same because of the fresh
install...

Thanks for your report, May you try to run f-spot as a new user and see
if it works? Did you have some photos imported into it before the
upgrade?
