I'm not sure this bug was fixed or just slightly improved. The animation
curve in Unity8 still feels ugly and unnatural compared to Unity7.

The linked branch uses UbuntuNumberAnimations as per Vesa's comment.
Animations will be refined when desing specs them out. For now I think
this bug can be closed as the linked branch addresses the reporter's
issue and it's an improvement over current trunk already.

It would already be an improvement if instead of linear animation we
would use the standard Ubuntu easing curve that is part of our SDK.
UbuntuAnimation.StandardEasing.
I recommend first switching to use that and as part of the currently
ongoing system animations alignment work we could consider i
