I ask you to please consider adding the ability to start a live session using proprietary video drivers. One of the most notorious trouble makers are the nVidia GT(X) 9xx series of cards which nouveau does not support. As far as I can tell nVidia has not provided the required firmware which nouveau uses to be able to talk to the GPUs. People attempting to run a live session of Ubuntu on machines using these GPUs can't easily do so. One example of a user in difficulty is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/3lin5g/bad_first_experience/ Sure, doing a text mode install is an option but the point of the live session is to enable people to run the OS and test it out without touching their hardware. There are a bunch of distributions which do this. One is Manjaro. They have an option to boot with non-free drivers in GRUB. Once that option is selected the GPU is detected and the correct driver is loaded. Ideally we should not need this but some GPU vendors are more inclined to cooperate with the FOSS community than others.
