This seems to have been fixed, at least to some extension, in the final release. Now if I use 'SKIP_CHECKS=yes compiz --replace', compiz throws the same errors, but starts ok. I still need to unload / reload radeon, and manually edit xorg.conf for 16bpp. -- defects in some parts of the screen h
