Yeah, perhaps we should detect the GDM setting (parent X server setting, rather) of TCP listening and have that apply to Xgl too. I've not heard of others trying to use Xgl over a remote X11 connection, so I 'm not surprised if you're the only one -- XGL supercedes GDM for X server startup optio
