I reinstalled my box a few weeks ago, with the latest gutsy. I kept my
user profile, but I deleted ~/.gnome2/f-spot and ~/.gconf/apps/f-spot,
and it still is random. Did I miss something?

I did not import them (I have my own folder structure workflow for my
photos). I right-clicked on a folder containing photos in Nautilus, and
opened the folder with f-spot. You can also open the folder with f-spot
--view foldername.
