I had exactly the same problems with my Acer ES1-711 laptop, and all is
started when bios was upgraded from version 1.02 to 1.05 (Insydeh20).
After much searching on forums (firstly i'm not suspected the bios has
fault because on those days i tried many distros and was thinking
problem is created b
I have the same problem on my Medion netbook. It has worked fine until I
upgraded to 15.10.
I installed kernel 4.1.16 and I have had no problems with the kernel.
I have not had the same problem with my desktop PC.

the comment by katzke-ma and also tried 4.1.12-wily. So far my laptop is
running many hours without any freeze at all .
