Public bug reported: After updating Ubuntu, I restarted the computer. The Light DM Display screen came up. I thought nothing of it until I tried logging in. Instead of logging in, it would go black for a second and bring me to the login page again. I've tried all sorts of commands from online Ubuntu support groups. Nothing has worked. My laptop is 5 yrs old, so I don't know if it's telling me it's dead.
