Editing the grub config to drop the splash screen should workaround this
until the fix comes.

I have experienced the same problem. 3.19.0-26-generic works,
3.19.0.33-generic fails to respond to entering the luks password.
Dell XPS 13 - not able to boot the system to collect any information
from the failing kernel.
