Does it happen every time you boot with the CD? Is it not enough to
restart X without reloading the radeon module?
It would be nice to see if it happens on a installed system as well, or
get a confirmation from another user that it really is a driver bug and
not just something with your particular
No i started Gutsy Live cd. Had no 3D acceleration so i did that in terminal
sudo rmmod radeon
sudo modprobe radeon
then restarted xserver (CTRL,ALT,Backspace) then i had fully working 3D
accel. even with compiz. I you want me to test an insalled gutsy i do
that. Do i have to do it?

fixed it. would be nice if gutsy and hardy are not anymore affected by
commiting a patch or bugfix.
