On Gutsy, this is still happening. I've tried using VLC to avoid this
behaviour.. Apparently, with VLC it only happens when it is switched to
XVideo for its output. So this seems to point to a bug in XVideo.

For some reason i missed your earlier comment. I haven't upgraded to Hardy
yet. I'll do so as soon as it is released and check wether the bug is still
existent for me.
