I am not sure if it is a Ubuntu bug since I had this issue with Feisty and
Gutsy. Could you recheck it with Windows? Btw. it is not possible to shut down
hard disk with eject since remounts it all the time and unmount doesn't eject
it. OK, it seems to shut down after some time without
I have the same disk and the problem that it doesn't appears again after
unmount. The easiest way to get the drive automount again is to remove
power for some seconds of the hard disk and then plug it again.

That workaround did the trick, but the bug is still there. If the power
to the drive is already on and then it is connected via USB, why does it
not automount?
