I have this problem too, can someone make a search on the upstream BTS
and see if it's been already reported? If not, it should be reported

Attached is a LyX 1.5.2 file. Try editing the cells to the right in the table.
Edit the math.
When you do that, you will lose sight of what you're editing, at least if
you're on a viewer as small as mine, which is 1024 pixels wide.
