If the problem occurs with HandBrake and VLC on 14.04, 16.04, and
Microsoft Windows, then it is probably not a HandBrake bug.

FYI Handbrake and vlc both work properly on Linux Mint Mate 17.2 and
17.3. So you don't have to wait for anything else.
