Nicolas, thanks for your detailed report and follow-ups.
I believe the issue is clear enough. We only need some developer who
uses scim-anthy to analyze the problem. Also, I suspect the problem is
on scim-anthy or anthy instead of scim, as I use scim-pinyin in firefox
without any problems.

If (and only if) SCIM Anthy is on, then the following crashes Thunderbird:
- Creating a new message
- Saving a message
- Opening a draft
- Opening an received email (inbox)
- Creating a subfolder
- Opening the addressbook

Yes, thanks, the problem with Firefox and scim is exactly as Jon-o
Addleman described it. If scim-anthy is "on", then in Firefox typing
cntrl-n to open a new window (or selecting "open new window" from the
right-click menu) immediately causes Firefox to crash and close. But if

Now it seems to be working again. Curious. Maybe I had updated something
and not restarted or something like that? Or else another update in the
past two days fixed the problem.
