To make it work with OpenJDK 8, edit
/etc/java-8-openjdk/accessibility.properties and comment out the line
"assistive_technologies=org.GNOME.Accessibility.AtkWrapper",
Hi, I'm cannot reproduce this now as I upgraded from kernel 3.16.0-57 to
4.x and now it is working fine.

It seems JVM is already running so you may get thread dump for this JVM
and attach it here to see if it is deadlock or something else.

I don't see anything suspicious in the log file. Could you provide the
old messages.log file from ~/.netbeans/8.0.2/var/log too?
There is a similar Debian bug report but I can't reproduce it.
