Public bug reported:

Hi there
I have upgrade a Fiesty box that has LVM for all of its partitions. When it
boot w/ any 2.6.22 Kernel I get the following error:

VFS: Cannot open root device "mapper/fattire-root" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available partitions:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

I'm not really sure what this means, except for that fact that the
kernel cannot mount my root partition. I've done a bit of Googling and
saw some suggestions about updating the initrd. As far as I can tell the
grub's menu.lst file is fine. I see the initrd specific.

The machine does boot with with the 2.6.20 kernel.

Any help is appreciated.
