I forgot to mention: the same segfault happens when I select "Connect to
hidden network" and when I select a visible eduroam network, both in
`QVariant(const QString&)`.

And where would the crash file be?
There is no difference in `/var/syslog` before and after the crash.
`.xsession-errors` says:
upstart: application-legacy (ubuntu-system-settings-) main process (6198)
killed
by SEGV signal
