Well, Micher Xhaard has been adding a support for these chips into his
SPCA drivers. It is now in testing phase for couple vendors (the chips
should be same so the support will land for all of them while at it) and
SPCA drivers are packaged for Ubuntu already.

Do you mean you can't find the driver for any operating system? I have
the drivers for xp and vista, if someone needed them to port them. I'm
not sure.

i can confirm there is now driver for the cam.
but as there isn't (right?) any sort of driver floating around on the
net, i guess this not an ubuntu bug.
maybe someone finds a driver or someone willing to write one.
then we can get back to integrating it into ubuntu.
