I have a similar problem.
Everything worked properly until I tried to run wireless on my university. This
involved deleting default route from routing table (route del default). I doubt
this is the reason, though. However, it is possible that while playing with
network configuration in network
Attached is my /var/log/syslog I set the interfaces to roaming mode and
rebooted. I then had to manually input the essid I wanted in the applet
to be able to send this out.
Also, I looked at /etc/network/interfaces and only the loopback
interface was mentioned. Additionally, when I tried to save "
please keep your interfaces in roaming mode and attach your
/var/log/syslog
