I'm currently moving to a new town, so this will be short... ;)
First close "gtkpod", then open the file " ~/.gtkpod/prefs" in an editor
and change the paths. In my case, I had to change "/usr/share/gtkpod-
aac/scripts/" to "/usr/share/gtkpod/scripts/", and everything seems fine
now.
Go
I uninstalled gtkpod-aac completely, and installed gtkpod. When I attempted to
add new folders,
I got what you see in attachment 6, very similar to the original poster.
How do I change the path?

I just installed Ubuntu 9.04, Jaunty Jackalope.
I installed gtkpod. I clicked on Add Folder, and got the same messages as the
other poster.
I completely uninstalled gtkpod, and installed gtkpod-aac. I clicked on Add
Folder, and got the message seen in the attachment.
Since the Ubuntu 9.04 forma
The gtkpod-aac binary sets the correct location (/usr/share/gtkpod-
aac/scripts by default, but if a previous gtkpod release set this path
to something else, then it can be incorrect. Look in your Gtkpod
preferences for where to specify the path to the script, and correct it.
As far as I can tell,
This occurred on Gutsy immediately after an upgrade from Feisty.
The problem is not that the scripts don't exist. The problem is that
gtkpod is looking for the scripts in the wrong directory.
I just re-installed gtkpod-aac and the problem occurred again. Here is
the error message I received:

I see now that I my original description of the problem was incorrect. I
accidentally reversed the two paths that I provided. Sorry about that.
