I don't know if this is something which would better be placed in the 
gnome-tweak-tool or the gnome-control-center, so I will initially file it under 
both so that somebody else who knows more can decide which. But anyway, to get 
to the point, on Windows, and I think possibly (though I'm not sure as it's 
been a while since I used it) in the unity-tweak-tool, there is the ability to 
change things to do with the cursor, for instance, load new cursor themes, 
change the size of the cursor, and add cursor trail, and of course a slider to 
change how much of a trail there is.
And I think that these would be really good features to have in either the 
gnome-tweak-tool or the gnome-control-center.
