A reinstall of thee packages solved it for me, along with solving the problem
of being denied admin access to system settings.

Happend to me too. I can update whatever I want but it keeps showing in Kubuntu
7.10 386.

I just can confirm, that the problem is still there. Installed from
kubuntu gutsy gibbon dvd and adept still proposes version upgrades to
gutsy gibbon. However after a while it states that the system is up to

A few minutes ago i installed some adept updates on gutsy. After
installing them adept manager shows there is a new version available.

Same here. Didnt happen to me until this morning. But I think this is
the first time I had updates and click on the System Tray Adept
notifier.

Adept tells me a new version is available after a fresh 7.10 Gutsy CD
install. I step through the process thinking it will sync up but after
