For the record: I had exactly this problem in my Lenovo X250 in late
April. Basically forcing be to reboot at least every second day. After
upgrading to 16.04 the problem has not been seen again.

During installing of this kernel I'm getting:
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/i915/skl_guc_ver4.bin for module i915
But I can't get rid of this module as suggested in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds because i915 is most probably
related to this bug.
