Amazing. How is it possible that with snapping for moving windows, still
no one has bothered to implement snapping for resizing? Have no
developers ran into the use case of resizing windows? Don't they notice
this glaring usability problem? Or does it simply not bother them?

Hey! Snapping seems to work in compiz on Karmic beta 1.
Unfortunately resizing isn't as smooth as in metacity but it has just
gotten amazingly more useful! :D

Darn it, sorry. Been testing the beta1 and I got all excited because
snapping worked. But I didn't realize the second session was really
metacity and not compiz.

Who is working on it? Is it upstream? Can we get a link to the upstream
bug? Will it be fixed for Karmic? Will it be backported to Jaunty?
Concern: I am concerned that the snapping will not work properly with
gnome-panel. Will it snap to the pan
