The same lockups occur with the vesa driver. So it's highly probable
that the intel driver is not the source of the problem.
This bug should probably be closed, at least as against xserver-xorg-
video-intel.

After getting these lockups for a while, there seems to be a pattern: it
happens most often when the laptop is running on batteries. So it may
not be related to the video driver after all.
Is there someone who could let me know what can be done to generate some
sort of report when this occurs, may
