The 18 month support period for Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 has reached its end of life -

I've found an workaround how Suspend2Disk (Hibernate) works, the
following trick is needed:
Simply start an OpenGL app (I use glxgears) and the suspend / resume
works fine. Funny :-)
This is a known bug at Nvidia and they suggest this workaround in the
documentation.
