I confirm that the screen saver swarm does not start automatically or by
locking the session. it work in test. I then tried another one (lines)
and everything is working properly.

I have a similar behavior with just two of the screensavers: kswarm and
kspace. They can be started by the "Test" button in the Configure
Desctop -> Screen Saver menu, but not automatically. After the timeout,
the mouse cursor disappears, the panel clock freezes, but otherwise
nothing happens on th

Just add
DPMS-dependent=false
to the screensaver section of
~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc

I can confirm this bug as well. My laptop has been updated from Feisty
to Gutsy (Kubuntu). It has an Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) (santa rosa platform) and I run
it with the vesa driver, as the native driver does not work for me
(screen blanks out aft
I can also confirm this bug. I am running Kubutnu (KDE) Gutsy. An
upgrade from Feisty. Using Nvidia drivers (packages from ubuntu).
Operating in TwinView. All updates installed as of this posting (Nov
11, 2007). Let me know if anymore info is desired.

[gutsy] Screensavers don't start auto
Same for me. I can make the screen saver run in 'Test' when
selecting/configuring screen savers (so I know the screen savers
themselves are installed OK and will run OK), but it won't start on its
own after the specified time. Only broken for Kubuntu (KDE) Gutsy, works
OK for Ubuntu (Gnome) Gutsy -
Additional info:
I've upgraded from Feisty.
It only happens with the default user (jeroen. I tested it under another
local user name and the screensaver works there.
I deleted the Screensaver section in the config file; kdesktoprc. Still
it won't autostart.
