I have a similar behavior with just two of the screensavers: kswarm and kspace. They can be started by the "Test" button in the Configure Desctop -> Screen Saver menu, but not automatically. After the timeout, the mouse cursor disappears, the panel clock freezes, but otherwise nothing happens on th

I can confirm this bug as well. My laptop has been updated from Feisty to Gutsy (Kubuntu). Same for me. I can make the screen saver run in 'Test' when selecting/configuring screen savers (so I know the screen savers themselves are installed OK and will run OK), but it won't start on its own after the specified time. Only broken for Kubuntu (KDE) Gutsy, works OK for Ubuntu (Gnome) Gutsy -

Additional info: I've upgraded from Feisty. It only happens with the default user (jeroen. I tested it under another local user name and the screensaver works there. I deleted the Screensaver section in the config file; kdesktoprc. Still it won't autostart. -- [gutsy] Screensavers don't start
