lvm tooling uses kernel device names, until upstream supports
alternative (display) mappings, this is non-trivial to fix and/or will
be buggy. This request is equivalent of asking $ vgs to magically change
display names. Closing this bug report, until there is upstream support
in lvm for by-path

This is not a bug per-se, as LVM itself uses kernel drive names in the
metadata, and the output shown in the LVM partitioner menu is the same
as shown by LVM2 utils, $ sudo pvs
Please remove any target for this issue (e.g. targetmilestone-inin--),
because there is no immediate way to

Indeed that would be nice, however currently d-i / partman operate
entirely in linux device names. However the lvm summary output is
ultimately driven by what `pvs` outputs from lvm tooling. Looking into
pvdisplay(8) manpage it seems there is no way for that to resolve and/or
output more
