I have what I think is the same problem. What do I need to do to get
this bug out of the expired state? (I don't understand all of how
launchpad works I'm afraid.)

For me, when I close the lid to suspend, sometimes it automatically
wakes up without my opening the lid, and the screen freezes. The light
is on but all I see is the black screen.

At risk of clouding the issue, I've noticed that suspend/resume works
correctly using `linux-image-extra-4.4.0-13-generic` but closing the lid
will cause a shutdown using `linux-image-extra-4.4.0-15-generic`.
I'm on 16.04 using the same laptop (XPS 9350) as the OP.
