I totally agree with the viewpoint presented. I own a printer Epson WF 3640

I can confirm this bug with Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 trying to add an Epson
WF-3620. Forcing an install and "ln -s /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2
/lib64/ld-lsb-x86-64.so.3" allows me to print, though it prints very

I have the same issue on Kubuntu 16.04 with a Epson M105 and a L110.

I can confirm this bug for a Epson WF-3250 by using epson-inkjet-
printer-201212w package under Ubuntu GNOME 16.04. The workaround works

I have a Epson TX420W, installed the epson-inkjet-printer-
nx420_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb package in the Ubuntu 16.04 64bits and the
printer did not work as before. The workaround described by Nicolas
Knotzer solved the problem for me.
