Public bug reported: The Ubuntu Desktop Next metapackage that is included in unity8-lxc is sorely out of date with no maintainer and is deprecated.
The Desktop Team's official story on using Unity 8 is to download the latest development ISO and install unity8-desktop-session-mir on it. So we will have to do just that for unity8-lxc:( ** Affects: unity8-preview-lxc Importance: High Assignee: Christopher Townsend (townsend) Status: In Progress ** Affects: unity8-lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Christopher Townsend (townsend) Status: Triaged ** Also affects: unity8-lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity8-lxc (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: unity8-lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: unity8-preview-lxc Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: unity8-preview-lxc Assignee: (unassigned) => Christopher Townsend (townsend) ** Changed in: unity8-lxc (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Christopher Townsend (townsend) ** Changed in: unity8-preview-lxc Status: New => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1565995 Title: Ubuntu Desktop next metapackage is sorely out of date To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity8-preview-lxc/+bug/1565995/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
