Public bug reported: The MariaDB packages include correct conflicts/breaks/replaces definitions for mysql-5.5 and mysql-5.6. However now when mysql-5.7 entered Ubuntu repositories, a critical regression was introduced.
This happened due to the fact that mysql-5.7 is not in Debian at all and the packaging has not gone through Debian quality assurance. To migitate this, mariadb-10.0 packaging should have mysql-5.7 relations definitions added. ** Affects: mariadb-10.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Otto Kekäläinen (otto) Status: In Progress ** Changed in: mariadb-10.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: mariadb-10.0 (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Otto Kekäläinen (otto) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568285 Title: Regression: mariadb-10.0 impossible to install when mysql-5.7 present To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mariadb-10.0/+bug/1568285/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
