Public bug reported: Sometimes my laptop loses wifi connection while the screen is locked. On attempting to unlock, gnome-shell freezes at the unlock screen until the network connection is restored (usually manually, by logging in on a text console and manually killing the NetworkManager process, or otherwise manually bringing my wifi connection back up). I have been able to repeat this at least five times. I suspect it has to be the same connection brought back up (i.e. merely plugging in wired or using a different wifi network won't unwedge gnome-shell).
