Public bug reported: Running update-grub on ppc64el does not update /boot/grub/grub.cfg with options from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT.
Reproducer: 1. edit GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub . 2. Run update-grub 3. check /boot/grub/grub.cfg for the correct options Unfortunately I've only checked this on a 14.10 ppc64el machine, so this needs to be verified on a 14.04 machine, but I didn't want to lose this bug just in case. It seems to only affect ppc64el hardware. My line looked like GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="console=hvc0 crashkernel=2G-4G:320M@32M,4G-32G:512M@32M,32G-64G:1024M@32M,64G-128G:2048M@32M,128G-:4096M@32M" ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Dave Chiluk (chiluk) Status: New ** Tags: sts -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1569567 Title: Running update-grub on ppc64el does not update /boot/grub/grub.cfg with options from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1569567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
