Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compizconfig-settings-manager

I used ccsm to enable the desktop cube and expo mode. I wanted to
disable the "unfold" feature of the cube and make Ctrl+Alt+Down be Expo,
so I first went into the cube applet. I clicked the space where it said
ctrl+alt+down for unfold and hit backspace. The display updated to
reflect that the keybinding was disabled, but then the menu disappears
and, when reopened, the display reflects that the macro for unfold is
still ctrl+alt+down. Also, hitting that key macro still unfolds the
cube.

If I go to Expo and set the key macro to be ctrl+alt+down, it warns me
that that macro is already used by unfold. I selected "disable unfold",
but this still does not disable unfold.

This is not the only case of ccsm refusing to let me reconfigure compiz,
but I've decided that filing individual bugs for the various failings is
a better strategy than filing one big bug saying "ccsm sucks". I'm
absolutely willing to provide any information I can to help you bust
these bugs!
