I've just tried with alpha 4,
Instability seems to be fixed with it.
In livecd, it was not able to auto-detect the resolution. but runs with
a copy of the /etc/X11/xorg.conf of my feisty and a restart of X.

Ok, closing this bug as fixed in Hardy. The resolution problem remains,
hopefully upstream will fix it soon. You can poke them to make that
happen :)

Yes for the first part (wrong resolution) but the another part is not

Hello,
I've just tried with Hardy livecd :
System boot : ok
opening a session : ok
displaying the desktop : Nok :
the resolution is not correct ... the resolution is bigger than screen
support
So I've tried to adjust the resolution with the system menu nothing in the
select lists.

Please try with Hardy livecd if you can reproduce the issue. It uses the
openchrome driver now.

I have the same bug.
Impossible to start Gutsy on live-cd with the two different startup
options (standard display or no-errors graphics).
web-Upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 also do the same .. gdm start with an
