Well, the Matrox driver doesn't show in the tool for Hardware Drivers.
It just tells that there are no proprietary drivers in use on this system.

Just installed the P-series driver v1.4.5.2 from http://tuxx-home.at/,
and now Ubuntu recognizes the proprietary driver.
Status is active, and used.
It is, however, still not possible to choose the mtx driver from Ubuntus
menu for graphics drivers.
