Public bug reported: Network Manager seems to convert statically configured IPv6 DNS to IPv4 addresses for some reason.
Here at some screenshots (side by side) before applying the setting and after. As you can see in the screenshots the IPv4 address corresponds to the first 32 bits of the IPv6 address which was entered. network-manager/xenial 1.1.93-0ubuntu4 amd64 ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "nm-ipv6-dns.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577376/+attachment/4653582/+files/nm-ipv6-dns.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1577376 Title: Network Manager convert static IPv6 DNS to IPv4 address To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1577376/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
