Ok I updated the BIOS to the newest version.

I still get the guide button flashing, so no improvement.

Only tried it on 4.4, and 4.7. What is weird is that it works on other
Ubuntu flavors like Lubuntu, but on Ubuntu Mate I get this.

I can confirm this on Ubuntu Mate 16.04
But if I plug out the dongle and plug it in again, the Controllers stops
blinking correctly. (Solid light indicating what player it is assigned.)
