I running Ubuntu 16.04 in VirtualBox 5.0.20. With auto hide launcher enabled
the launcher
does not reappear no matter how I manipulate the mouse. Alt-F1 does bring the
launcher up.
This used to work on the same host with Ubuntu 15.10 running in VirtualBox. I
didn't do
an upgrade from 15.10, just a new install.
I see lots of bug reports to much older versions of Ubuntu, but don't know that
they
are relevant.
