Since Hardy, this bug is not only a wishlist bug anymore because it
causes usplash to use very low resolutions. According to this, I set
this bug as a duplicate of bug 188764 that will probably be a target
My understanding was that after updating the usplash.conf, you had to
regenerate the initramfs. Is this not the case?

Bugs,
This bug stand for a automatic resolution detection. Actual usplash use
values in /etc/usplash.conf and initramfs must be updated for usplash to
work with the correct values. This bug ask usplash to be independent of
/etc/usplash.conf, initramfs and not to suffer from changing graphic
card/screen.
