I don't think this is a problem with snapd (I haven't experienced anything like that), looks like an inconsistency in the packages which, as you said, got corrected by apt-get dist-upgrade. Did you see this happening with subsequent snapd package upgrades? ** Changed in: snapd (Ubuntu)
