Public bug reported: Since the feisty->gutsy upgrade, my computer won't boot anymore. The old kernel still boots. Due to all the screen blanking of the fancy logo's I can't see what's going wrong, but I think I saw something like "Can't allocate memory for resource <SCREEN BLANK>" and finally it complains about "too many ide devices" if I remember correctly. Then I will get a busybox prompt, but can't do much except reboot. There is a HPT374 (I think) ide controller in the machine.
I can provide more information later. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [gutsy/amd64] kernel won't boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158294 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
