After enabling ATI restricted driver and the installing the following
packages:
xserver-xgl
compizconfig-settings-manager
compiz compiz-core
compiz-fusion-plugins-main
compiz-fusion-plugins-extra compiz-gnome
compiz-plugins libcompizconfig-backend-gconf
libcompizconfig0
Hibernate no longer works, when hibernate is selected the computer
starts to close down, the enter password dialog box (that is usually
displayed when the computer is woken from hibernate) quickly flashes up,
then the screen goes blank, hard drive turns off but fans continue to
run and the power light stays lit (instead of strobing).
