Public bug reported: It is a strange behavior of the phone (and illogical too) that an application whose sole purpose is to play music, goes to sleep every few minutes and stops playing, requiring constant attention. Same goes for launching such applications in the background, in which case they stop playing immediately.
So my proposition is to add an option (a choice): keep applications awake as long as they play sound with non-zero volume. This will reduce battery life but at least let us listen to radio stations or Spotify without pressing the power button every few minutes. ** Affects: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1587619 Title: Add an option to keep applications awake when they play sound To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings/+bug/1587619/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
