Public bug reported:

It is a strange behavior of the phone (and illogical too) that an
application whose sole purpose is to play music, goes to sleep every few
minutes and stops playing, requiring constant attention. Same goes for
launching such applications in the background, in which case they stop
playing immediately.

So my proposition is to add an option (a choice): keep applications
awake as long as they play sound with non-zero volume. This will reduce
battery life but at least let us listen to radio stations or Spotify
without pressing the power button every few minutes.
