Invalid for dolphin - as current dolphin package is the KDE 3 version.
Confirmed for KDE 4.

I've confirmed that this occurs in Kubuntu 8.04 with Dolphin.
Recreation:
Open dolphin.
Browse to a remote FTP location.
Attempt to create a directory. - Dolphin reports that it cannot do so.
There also appears to be intermittent failure with copying files from a
local directory over to the remot

I confirm it with KDE4.
Scheenschot attached. I can't get it to speak English, but the error is

The attached screenshot shows konqueror uploading to the same remote
filesystem that dolphin refuses to write to. The popup shows the error
message that dolphin emits.
